Session Leader Bids for Legato Leadership College 

LEGATO are looking for exciting and innovative proposals to run sessions for our members at the 2024 Legato Leadership College (LLC) in Brussels on Friday 14 June 2024. Can you share your expertise and skills to support fellow choir leaders across Europe? Then we want to hear from you!

Our LLC sessions will be curated around Three Streams, and proposals should support at least one of the Streams:

  • Building your Choir
  • Developing your Music
  • Managing your Growth

Sessions will be led on a voluntary basis, but leaders will be offered an ex gratia payment and a place on the leadership college.

Your Leadership College, to improve or acquire new skills that can help you build a strong happy choir, will be in Brussels on Friday 14 June 2024 starting at 9am! Details and registration will be shared in March.

BRUSSELS RENDEZVOUS 2024

Get a look at the venues and locations for the Various Voices 2026 at the Brussels Rendezvous, to commence on the evening of Friday 14 June 2024 through to Sunday early afternoon.
With a great concert on Saturday evening and brunch on Sunday.

Join the LEGATO Board

Olha Rubtsova, Music Director for Qwerty Queer Choir in Odessa, has stepped down from the board.

We would like to thank her for board service and commitment to LEGATO Choirs. We all pray for peace in the region.

Would you like to join the LEGATO board until our AGM elections in October? This is a great way to gain board experience before committing to a full 2-year term.

We want to build the diversity of the board and are particularly interested in hearing from female, trans or non-binary members, as well as members from our Central / Eastern European choir members.

New forum - National Queer Choir Associations

LEGATO is facilitating connections between the European national queer choir associations as a means of sharing expertise, showing solidarity and spreading the love of LGBT choral singing across our continent.

Cromatica in Italy and Proud Voices UK & Ireland are already on board, and we have choir groups in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Ukraine participating.

No national association in your country?

You would still be welcome to join as we share knowledge on how to set one up and run local choral festivals.

We need volunteers to join Team LEGATO so we can continue to expand and deliver the best service possible to our members.

We are looking for volunteers who can support us with:

  • Fundraising (especially applying for European funds)
  • Supporting Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Communications

It's fun and rewarding and a great way to make international connections.
