Brussels 2024 Leadership College
and Various Voices Rendezvous

Brussels 2024 Leadership College

Our first Legato Leadership College will be a full day on Friday 14th June 2024, from 9 am to 5 pm in Brussels. The Brussels Rendezvous kicks off on the evening of Friday 14th to Sunday 16 June 2024.

Check our website for all the information

The motto of the college is “Be the best that you can be'', reflecting our commitment to excellence, diversity, and inclusion in choral music. To help fulfil our 20-year vision of Singing for Equality, to have a queer-safe choir in every city/town across Europe.

Whether you are a conductor, a board member, a vocal coach or a choir manager, you will find something valuable and inspiring in our Leadership College programme.

We have renowned experts and practitioners to share their insights and experiences with you. You will also have the chance to meet and exchange ideas with fellow choir leaders from across Europe. We aim to empower you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead your choir to new heights of artistic and social impact.

We are offering three strands to choose from:

“It's all about the music” for musicians, music makers, music directors, and music committee people.

“Get Organized” for choir managers, directors, and management committee/team members of choirs to grow and expand knowledge.

“Let’s Talk Choirs” open agenda facilitated sessions to overcome obstacles to change and develop strategies for problem-solving organisations and people challenges.

Brussels Rendezvous

The next edition of the Various Voices festival will take place in Brussels from 24 to 28 June 2026. Come and meet the organising team, visit the festival venues and get a sneak preview of the shows on offer.

Held in the capital of the European Union, Various Voices will convey a strong message to the nations of Europe where the LGBTQI+ community is under attack. It will be an opportunity to celebrate our pride and make our voices heard as the LGBTQI+ / Queer community.

To mark the "Rendezvous à Bruxelles", the host choir "Sing Out Brussels!" is organising a "Various Voices Rising" concert with the Polish choir "Voces Gaudii" and the Dutch choir "DynamiQ".
