LEGATO Member Choir Survey

This year we have an additional special request for our member choirs. As a valued member of the LEGATO family, your insights are vital to help us better understand our diverse community and how we can improve our support for you.

The questionnaire covers aspects of your choir's operation, demographics, strengths, challenges and relationship with LEGATO. Your answers will directly inform our efforts to develop meaningful projects that provide practical and valuable support to all member choirs.

This will highlight the skills and strengths of our membership base and help you to connect with other choirs, fostering knowledge sharing and growing expertise across our network.

Your participation will be greatly appreciated and will help to make LEGATO an even more supportive and enriching association.

You will find the link to the questionnaire in the emails recently sent out with your annual subscription. If you can't find it, please contact us.

To bring singers from across Europe together to build a new, gay singing community, we will have two in-person rehearsals weekends each year in different cities around Europe, starting in 2025. Our first planned performance will be at Various Voices 2026. We would love it if you could tell people in your choir about us. For more details, see our WEBSITE

TTBB
Founded: 2024

Music style: equally mixed classic/rock/pop/musicals

amaryllis_berlin

Berlin, Germany

SATB
Founded: 2023
29 singers
Music style: mostly classical, some rock/pop/musicals

The chamber choir amaryllis_berlin has dedicated themselves to choral music from the Renaissance to classical modernism and contemporary works. We meet weekly to rehearse together. During additional vocal rehearsals, rehearsal days and weekends, we take time to fine-tune our sound. However, our rehearsal time is not only an opportunity to grow musically, but also a time for fellowship and exchange. Respect and a discrimination-sensitive approach are at the heart of what we do - each individual contributes to making our choir a safe space for everyone. As a queer choir, it is particularly important to us to be visible and to set an example for tolerance and diversity with our music.

Oxford Proud Voices

Oxford, UK
www.oxfordproudvoices.org
SATB
Founded: 2024
30 singers

Oxford Proud Voices is a community choir for all. We sing, we protest, we champion queer rights, we celebrate queer life.

SAB
Founded: 2019

Get ready to meet Queer Voices Glasgow, the vibrant and inclusive queer choir that calls Glasgow home! Though relatively young, our journey began in 2019, and despite the challenges of the pandemic, we’ve kept our spirits high and voices strong, connecting online until we could reunite in person. Now, with excitement buzzing in the air, we’re thrilled to raise the Pride flag high along the picturesque West coast of Scotland. Join us as we celebrate diversity, harmony, and the power of music, proudly representing Queer Voices Glasgow and spreading joy with every note we sing!
